Luckbir Singh Chair Luckbir is a local having attended Parramatta State School and Cairns High School before studying at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. After completing his law degree in 2000 Luckbir returned home and commenced work at MacDonnells Law. Since that time Luckbir has progressed with the firm, being appointed a Partner in 2007.
Luckbir practices in commercial and property law focusing on corporate advisory services, complex property development projects and business transactions. He advises and provides legal guidance to large scale private and public companies, individuals and government authorities.
Luckbir is also the Practice Group Leader for the Commercial team in the Cairns office of the firm being responsible for more than 30 lawyers and support staff. Luckbir provides pro-bono legal advice to a number of local community and public benevolent organisations including COUCH (Committee for Oncology Unit Cairns Hospital). |
Luckbir's skills have been recognised with him being awarded the Queensland Law Society Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2008 and, the Australian Institute of Management Young Manager of the Year Cairns Region in 2009.
In joining the Committee in 2010 Luckbir is focused in pushing forward and implementing the strategic direction of the Young Chamber in creating leaders, creating networks and creating opportunities for the next generation of Cairns business owners and professionals.

Bronwyn Voyce Vice Chair Bronwyn Voyce was born and raised in South Africa and migrated to Australia in 1999, settling on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland with her family, until she graduated from high school. At this point, Bronwyn relocated to Cairns to complete a Diploma of Business Management & Administration for which she had been awarded a scholarship.
Soon after completion of her Diploma, Bronwyn commenced a 10 month around the world holiday. This journey, partnered with her experience in living in diverse cultural countries and relocation between them, steads her well in dealing in a multicultural environment.
Bronwyn commenced her career in Banking and Finance in 2004 and has constantly sought out challenges and been promoted within her chosen organisation. She currently works at Westpac, Earlville as a Local Business Banker which sees her working closely with SME clients to assist them with reaching their business and financial goals.
Community involvement has been a large part of Bronwyn's life and she is looking forward to her position on the Cairns Young Chamber committee where she can further contribute by working on projects aimed at economic, business and people development within the Cairns region.

Andrea Ambrosio Andrea is a Cairns local and hails from the Atherton Tablelands.
While undertaking her senior high school studies, Andrea became interested in the business and management field from which she then went on to successfully complete a Bachelor of Business at JCU in 2004, providing her with the relevant tertiary qualifications.
Andrea works in the professional services industry sector as a Senior Management Consultant with Outsource Management Pty Ltd (OSM), a Cairns-based business and management consultancy firm. Her career has progressed significantly since joining OSM in 2005 as a Graduate Management Consultant and has worked with clients across a wide scope of industries in the region. Andrea has gained invaluable experience by playing a key role in the completion of various business documents that have been pivotal to the growth and development of many diverse and multinational companies.
Andrea has also developed a significant specialisation in the preparation and management of Government grant funding applications for clients for which she has achieved an impressive success rate. |
As a new member to the Cairns Young Chamber Sub Committee in 2009, Andrea is looking forward to assisting to provide young professionals in Cairns with networking and professional development opportunities via the Cairns Young Chamber events. She also wishes to build her network of contacts and further develop her profile in the local business community.

Tammy Doolan As a third generation Cairns local, Tammy knows and understands the importance of growth in the local community.
Soon after completing a certificate in Business and Administration with The 20/20 Group Tammy was promoted to consultant where she developed a range of skills in market research and the artistic creation and production of marketing collateral including developing websites.
Recently, Tammy joined Cairns Courthouse Hotel as Functions/ Marketing and Events Manager. This new role has given Tammy the opportunity to engage with the community, implement marketing strategies and drive the hotel's functions facilities.
Last year Tammy became actively involved with Cairns Young Chamber and joined the sub-committee in 2010. Tammy hopes to encourage community involvement in the Cairns Young Chamber, create networks and raise awareness of the committee's future endeavours.

Victoria McLaran Victoria is a vibrant young professional who is keen to take on new challenges and is actively looking for opportunities to make a real difference in Cairns!
She has an Economics and Accounting degree and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Victoria worked in the Risk Advisory Services division of a large international accounting firm in Brisbane. The move to Cairns presented new and exciting opportunities allowing Victoria to broaden her horizons. She is currently working for Cairns Regional Council in a Change Management team.
Cairns Young Chamber for me, presents a unique opportunity for the next generation of business leaders to shape the future of their city.
